Purpose of the service

PDF Anonymizer lets users upload a text-based PDF to produce an anonymized version that preserves the original layout as much as possible. Users may request a short identifier on the first page of the final PDF.

Access to the service

The service offers one free PDF, then a monthly subscription when payment is enabled. Technical limits displayed on the website, including the maximum number of pages and file size, apply to each processing request.

User obligations

• Upload only documents the user is authorized to process.
• Do not use the service for unlawful, fraudulent, malicious content or content infringing third-party rights.
• Review the anonymized PDF before any external sharing.
• Do not attempt to bypass usage, payment or security limits.
• Keep a copy of the source document where required for the user's own obligations, as the application is not intended to archive originals.

Anonymization result

The service combines automated checks, detection rules and, when configured, an artificial intelligence engine. The result should be treated as anonymization assistance, not as an absolute compliance guarantee.

Users must review the generated PDF, especially when processing resumes, HR documents, contracts, financial documents or any document containing sensitive data.

Availability and maintenance

The publisher uses reasonable efforts to keep the service available. Interruptions may occur for maintenance, technical updates, hosting incidents or abnormal use of the service.

Payment and subscription

When payment is enabled, the subscription is handled by Stripe. Payment information is processed by Stripe and is not stored by PDF Anonymizer. Detailed commercial terms may be specified in the payment flow or dedicated sales terms before full commercial launch.

Intellectual property

Use of the service does not transfer any intellectual property rights over PDF Anonymizer, its interface, code, brand or content. Users retain the rights they hold over the documents they upload.

Limitation of liability

The publisher may not be held liable for misuse of the service, lack of user review, incomplete source documents or sharing a generated PDF without prior checking.

Applicable law

These terms are governed by French law. In case of difficulty, users are invited to contact the publisher to seek an amicable solution.
